From Christianity Through the New Age Movement and Nervous Breakdowns to Being a Deist

I recently discovered, just days ago, Deism and would like to thank you for all the work you have put into reviving it and the Deism website! I started reading your book, Deism: A Revolution in Religion, A Revolution in You, yesterday and can't express how grateful and excited I am about it!

I lost my "faith" when I was in my early teens...when I started reasoning and questioning what I was being taught in Christianity. I then spent 10 years heavily involved in drugs/alcohol. I next spent 7 years studying Eastern religions and New Age thought, trying to find SOMETHING that made sense to me. I finally gave up and became a workaholic with no "religion" for 10 years until I had my first nervous breakdown. In the 10 years since, I have had another nervous breakdown, suffered major depression and ended up on Social Security Disability Income. I finally feel like I have found the answer/philosophy/religion that truly matches my beliefs and have to wonder what my path would have been had I found Deism back in 1993 when you started the World Union of Deists (that was right at the same time I gave up my search for something logical).
