What a honor to be apart of this movement where I can fit in without being judged as a non believer of the bible and their god

I see GOD as this "FORCE" my health is great and protected like constant...im surrounded by its power and is always thankful for it

My society where I'm based is Christianity and I'm not here to talk about it because it's draining my energy mentally and physically

Deist is new to me and I'm feeling it's positive impact on my well-being

supporting deism and it's people because I'm proud to be apart of a movement that make sense and support our fellow humans

I am 71 years old and live just south of Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am retired from the U.S. Army, and from the Federal Civil Service. My biography would fill many pages, so for now I'll just write about how I learned about the World Union of Deists.

Long story short, I've spent over 40 years investigating all major religions, cults and philosophical systems. Until just yesterday (July 19, 2025) I was wrestling with whether my spiritual journey should contiue with the Christians or go with the agnostics or the atheists. None of them were ultimately believable or satisfying. Consequently, I said to GROK, "I accept the reality of a supreme universal intelligence, but i do not accept any of the Abrahamic faiths. Is there a word for that?".Below is the response I received.

My name is Daunice Kennedy and I live in Colorado. I have been exposed to many Christian religions (Lutheran, Presbyterian, Catholicism, etc.) my entire life and I'm 63 years old now. But even as a young child, I couldn't bring myself to believe that God impregnated a human being on earth, or on any of the other trillions of planets in the universe. I've always believed in God, but that was as far as it went for me. Christians would say, "But what if you're wrong? You should believe just in case". I don't believe that is faith. I believe that's insurance. I can't FORCE myself to believe in anything. None of us can. And, I truly don't believe that we will be punished for that when our lives inevitably end someday.
