An Open Deist Challenge to Christians

This page is intended to reach sincere Christians with the realization that Christianity and the Bible promote falsehoods. Sincere Christians genuinely want to know God better. They have been lied into believing that the Bible is the word of God and that by reading it and believing in it, they are bringing themselves closer to God. This Deist Challenge to Christians should free, or at least help to free, these sincere Christians and allow them to realize that they have been duped into believing that Christianity and the Bible are the way to God. Once sincere Christians realize they have been duped by Christianity, they are free to examine Deism, which teaches that God gave us reason so we can apply it to the designs in Nature and realize that those designs presuppose a Designer of Nature, or God.

The Christian Bible teaches that Jesus promised that Christians who pray in the name of Jesus will get whatever they ask for. The anonymous author of the Gospel of John, at John 14:12-14, has Jesus saying:

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

This Bible promise has no restrictions or conditions attached to it. It doesn't say, "If your faith is great enough" or "if you are without sin," it simply applies to every Christian without any conditions. Any Christian ("he that believeth on me") who prays in the name of Jesus for "any thing" will get what they pray for according to this Bible promise. Right now, any Christian can test this Bible promise by praying for, lets say, a new computer to materialize right in front of them. If they pray in Jesus' name for this to happen, and it does not happen, then this Bible promise is false. (I've often wondered during the coronavirus pandemic, why Christians remained Christians when the pandemic was clearly showing the Christian Bible is not at all the word of God, for surely at least one Christian prayed in the name of Jesus for the coronavirus pandemic to end shortly after it started, but it did not end, thus proving the Bible promotes false teachings and is not the word of God.)

It's important to value truth. The falsehoods of the Bible need to be exposed so people can make progress in their lives and in society. As Thomas Paine wrote, "It is an affront to truth to treat falsehoods with complaisance."
