From Christian Bible Delusion to Becoming a Deist

I’ve been a Deist from the later part of 2010 and my family followed shortly after.

After my awakening from the Bible delusion and freeing myself from the Christian trap I stumbled upon deism.com while searching for more truth on the net.

Making sense of the world around me is important to me to ensure that I will never again be exploited by people with evil intentions. To make it easy for me I have drawn an imaginary red line. On the left is all the things that we know is so because we can observe it in one way or another. On the other side is the dangerous area of speculation. When anybody shares an idea or philosophy with me I quickly ask myself on which side of the line they are. I also teach others to do this. After my freedom from the Christian trap it was a relief to find that there were many people through the ages that were thinking this way (Deism). They were mostly thinking and intelligent people.

After leaving the Bible and Christianity behind I thought a lot about the order of nature and that there is a definitive order in the world around us, in our bodies and the universe. I studied a lot of ancient religions and saw that a few of them had the same experience and realized that there is a force/energy/? in nature, like Taoism/Daoism. I enjoy nature and having a Deistic philosophy was like coming home. It was good to get rid of all the anti-nature aspects of the Bible like original sin, worldly sin, and the fear of the future, using nature to kill people, cursing the weather, trees etc. Deism is a protection against the onslaughts of false teaching that are bombarding us on a daily basis. It gives one truly a sense of freedom. I cannot understand that it is not the general accepted philosophy of most people on earth and I would like to be part of the solution that Deism can play to rid the world of many of the problems like the religious wars, like the 80 years and 30 years wars in Europe and so many others.
