In spite of the fact that not many people are aware of Deism, there were many famous Deists throughout history. Since Deism is belief in The Supreme Intelligence/God, which by definition is singular/mono as there can only be one supreme of anything, the first Deistic person known to history was the father of the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh King Tutankhamun/King Tut, Akhenaten. Akhenaten's reign began around 1350 BCE. He openly broke with the established Egyptian belief in many gods, and believed there is only one God. To represent the one God he believed existed, Akhenaten used the sun, which gives light and life to the earth.
