Funds for International Deism
In Italy citizens are forced by the state to give a part of their taxes to a religion. The Italian association of atheists has been fighting to abolish this law for years, but we think that this law will never be abolished.
Because in Italy there is the Vatican, and the Vatican is very powerful.
For this reason we are following a path with the aim of ensuring that Deism is also a recognized confession, so as to be able to receive public funds for religions. We would like to allocate these funds to scientific research, to care for the needy, and to promote other deist organizations in the world.
It is absurd to know that part of these funds are used to pay lawyers for pedophile priests, when there would be many more noble causes to pursue.
