Hello everyone. Is it wrong to live as a Orthodox Christian to my Church but inwardly I am a deist. This Church is my family. I am happy. I see it no harm to be a cultural Christian. I live in a rural area. It’s very hard to live in a very isolate community. So I use the Church and churches for social connection. I don’t believe in the superstition of the Bible. I have gain some benefits from it. I have to be a Christian Deist. In other words a cultural Christian. But I reject the Bible and superstition. I accept science and reason. I learn new ways of understanding God through other peoples perspectives.

Hello James. How long have you been a Deist? After I became a Deist, I would attend church, primarily for my mom. However, over time I could not stand being in church any longer. I explained to my mom that I respect her desire to attend church and that she should respect my desire not to go to church. That worked out.

Regarding a Christian Deist, that's impossible, since to be a Christian you must believe Jesus is the son of God and your savior, and to be a Deist you must follow your innate God-given reason which rejects those beliefs.
