Why not atheism?
Hi! I am new to the concept of deism and It seems very appealing. I would be curious to know why you believe in deism over atheism. This ( wonderful) website mentions the evidence for design, why don't you believe Evolution can account for that? Thank you in advance

I should be more specific. To believe in the common understanding of "evolution" takes more faith. I believe in evolution of species. I just don't believe we were all monkeys and one day our tails dropped off and we became human. Even though some of the people I've met in life seem to have the IQ of a monkey. The concept that we all came from some one celled organism that somehow managed to "evolve" into what I see in the mirror is ludicrous and there is NO supporting evidence to that belief, that is unless you happen to also believe that the moon is green cheese. There is more supporting evidence that God Was An Astronaut then there is that we evolved from one celled organisms.
