New to DEISM?

I wanted to share I finished reading Robert Cook's DEISM A Beginner's Guide Embracing Logic and the Devine. If you are new to DEISM it is a must read. It offers a clear, approachable introduction to a belief system that’s often misunderstood. I especially appreciated how Robert Cook lays out the core principles of Deism in a way that feels both accessible and thoughtful. The book moves smoothly through its history, showing how Deist ideas emerged and evolved, and then shifts into practical guidance on what it means to live as a Deist today.
What stood out most was its focus on relevance—how Deism fits into a modern world shaped by science, reason, and diverse spiritual perspectives. Cook manages to keep the tone balanced and informative without overwhelming the reader. For anyone curious about Deism or looking for a grounded starting point, this guide delivers exactly what it promises. You can get the book on Amazon.

While there are plenty of good books and some mediocre ones, I've found that it's best to have a solid understanding of Deism and then let it seep in like water dripping into a sponge a little at a time. I resist calling it gradual enlightenment but that's what it is. My eyes open more and more as I see the chains that once bound my thinking beging to fall away. I think of it alittle like healing and my mind is seeing the truth without it being defined for me by someone elses words or theology. While I value the best Deist writers, I am also cautious to not let them become a substitute theology and maintain my journey using them as a reference but not a guide book. Hope that makes sense.
