Passover: A Direct Attack Against The Supreme Intelligence/God

Today is Passover. It's a major and essential holiday in Judaism. It is allegedly a celebration of freedom. It portrays God in a horrific way that is completely rejected by Deism.

Passover is a foundational myth of Judaism and a pivotal part of the Exodus myth that claims ancient Egypt held millions of Jews in slavery. As the story goes, God wanted to be the God of the Jews. At Numbers 15:41 the ancient Jewish clergymen who wrote the Hebrew Bible/Christian Old Testament, claim God said regarding the Jews,

"I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God."

In order to free the Jews from Egyptian slavery and to be the God of the Jews, The Supreme Intelligence/God allegedly competed against Egypt's magicians and sorcerers to see who could do the best magic trick! Exodus chapters 7 and 8 cover these ungodly and nonsensical magic contests, which include plagues.

After turning staffs into snakes, after turning the water in the Nile and other waterways into blood, after causing it to rain frogs onto Egypt, among other things, God finally out magics and Egyptian magicians by turning dust into gnats/lice. Wow, what a show that must have been!

The finale for the Jewish God was Passover - the killing of all the firstborn in Egypt, including the firstborn of the animals of the Egyptians. In order for God to know the difference between which are Jewish homes and which are Gentile/Egyptian homes, God instructed the Jews to put blood from lambs on their doorposts and upper door, according to Genesis 12:7.

Genesis 12:29-30 states,

"And it came to pass, that at midnight the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead."

Thankfully the disgusting Passover story and Exodus story, the cornerstones of Judaism, have been proven to be made-up myths with zero basis in reality. An important, well documented and interesting book that completely debunks the Passover and Exodus myths is The Bible Unearthed: Archeology's New Vision of Ancient Israel and the Origin of its Sacred Texts by Israel Finkelstein and Neil Asher Silberman.

Thomas Paine made this important factual observation in The Age of Reason:

"People in general do not know what wickedness there is in this pretended Word of God. Brought up in habits of superstition, they take it for granted that the Bible is true, and that it is good; they permit themselves not to doubt of it, and they carry the ideas they form of the benevolence of the Almighty to the book which they have been taught to believe was written by His authority. Good heavens! it is quite another thing; it is a book of lies, wickedness, and blasphemy; for what can be greater blasphemy than to ascribe the wickedness of man to the orders of the Almighty?"

As Deists, we need to take action to help enlighten people to the fact that the Bible, nor any book ever written, is the Word of God. This will help the people we reach to have much better lives as is evident from our "Why Deism?" section of deism.com. Once Deists reach a large enough number of people with God-given reason-based Deism, the world will become a much better place. No longer will people have the fear-based foundational belief in a cruel God. Instead, they will realize the Bible, the Quran, or any other book cannot be the Word of God as all the books claimed to be the Word of God are full of irrational claims and depict The Supreme Intelligence/God as being jealous and genocidal and cruel. They will realize through reason and Deism that the only Word of God is the Creation itself. Thomas Paine did a beautiful job of making this important point when he wrote in The Age of Reason:

"It is only in the CREATION that all our ideas and conceptions of a Word of God can unite. The Creation speaks a universal language, independently of human speech or human language, multiplied and various as they may be. It is an ever-existing original, which every man can read. It cannot be forged; it cannot be counterfeited; it cannot be lost; it cannot be altered; it cannot be suppressed. It does not depend upon the will of man whether it shall be published or not; it publishes itself from one end of the earth to the other. It preaches to all nations and to all worlds; and this Word of God reveals to man all that is necessary for man to know of God."

It's time to break free of the ungodly, nonsensical and religious violence promoting "revealed" religions with God-given innate reason and nature-friendly Deism!
